Spread the Call!

RISE is much more than a grassroots organization — it is a call to action. And the more people and organizations who hear this call, who take it to heart, and who share it, the greater the impact we will have on the lives of those who live in poverty.

Use the documents below to spread this call, to your friends, your church, your favorite service organizations, and to the country at large. We’ve provided the documents in Word format so that you can edit them as the situation merits.

Please note: there are “blank” fields within the documents for you to fill in personalized content; before you send anything out, make sure that you’ve filled in these areas.

Use this letter to share the RISE idea with your friends and family Ð be sure to include information about what you are doing, whether it is donating your rebate or volunteering time.

Involve Your Congregation

If you are a pastor, rector or other member of your church leadership, and you believe this is a call that your congregation should answer, you can use these documents as a starting place. You might suggest that rebates be donated to service organizations or missions that your church is already involved with, or take this opportunity to suggest new partnerships.

Is there a non-profit organization that you know and trust to serve the poor? It’s possible that they could benefit by putting out a call for the donation of tax rebates. Use this letter to suggest their participation in this effort!
